How does Mom and Dad do it?

If you were to tell me before having Lucky; he would be a professional golfer, I would say you're crazy!!!! Lucky is living his dream, and he has joined the ranks of life and understands how hard the world is and has become, as a father I have always been prideful of providing for my family. Something that every man should strive in life to do, is have a family and take care of that family. For us it’s been harder to imagine having a kid with Neuro-sensitivity, labeled Autistic, doesn’t speak much and has his moments. In the middle of all this we have Lucky striving, we have two beautiful daughters ready to make their mark in life. Amanda and I juggle, I can’t believe we are still juggling and its okay. When we can’t get our timing down its difficult. We have been blessed with sponsors and 3rd party people to help us with Lucky. The sport of golf takes a village and though we are up against some extreme odds and a lot of money and the PGA reducing the access to players like Lucky. It makes practices that much harder, and it makes our commitment all in, to be all in even if we don’t have. God provides. With That being said some people may feel like they have the privilege to give advice or maybe speak out of turn. Sometimes that’s hard to navigate but at the end of the day the goal is to help Lucky and if those are not willing to see the big picture. Then we are blessed to have them while they lasted and thankful that the journey began and ended where it has. This experience is hard, sometimes difficult to smile. I could snap my fingers, and I would cover the cost. Now I have to rely on sponsors and relationships and sometimes empty promises for those who have more than beyond their means but have the audacity to claim Lucky, like they have always been there. We spend most of our time now fending off the crows looking for their next feast.

So to be honest, I don’t know how we do it. I think our stubbornest and love for each other gets us through it. I just hope it’s enough to give Lucky what he needs to continue to succeed.

We love our children. I don’t think we are any different than the next. Its just that 100% we believe in our son.

All the Best,

Fred -
